Ministers of Holy Communion

Are you being called to be an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist?

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are called to serve God’s holy people by sharing the Body and Blood of Christ with their brothers and sisters united by our Catholic faith. They assist the priest and Deacon in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during the Communion Rite at Mass.

To serve as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, one must have a deep reverence for and devotion to the Holy Eucharist and:

Be a practicing Catholic distinguished by their Christian life, faith and morals. A person living in harmony with the teachings of the Church and capable of receiving the Eucharist.
Those aspiring to be an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist must be Catholics who have been confirmed who are at least of high school age.
If married, one’s marriage must be a valid Catholic marriage.

Ministers will be largely scheduled to serve during the weekend Mass time in which they normally worship.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist must undergo training provided by the parish.

Los Ministros Extraordinarios de la Eucaristía están llamados a servir al pueblo santo de Dios compartiendo el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo con sus hermanos y hermanas unidos por nuestra fe católica. Ayudan al sacerdote y al diácono a distribuir el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo durante el Rito de la Comunión en la Misa.

Para servir como Ministro Extraordinario de la Eucaristía en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Buen Consejo, uno debe tener una profunda reverencia y devoción a la Sagrada Eucaristía y:

Ser un católico practicante que se distinga por su vida cristiana, fe y moral. Ser una persona que vive en armonía con las enseñanzas de la Iglesia y capaz de recibir la Eucaristía.
Los aspirantes a Ministro Extraordinario de la Eucaristía deben ser católicos confirmados que estén al menos en edad de asistir a la escuela secundaria.
Si están casados, su matrimonio debe ser un matrimonio católico válido.

Los ministros serán programados en su mayoría para servir durante el tiempo de la Misa del fin de semana en el que normalmente adoran.

Los Ministros Extraordinarios de la Eucaristía deben recibir entrenamiento proporcionado por la parroquia.
