Are you being called to be an

Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist?

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are called to serve God’s holy people by sharing the Body and Blood of Christ with their brothers and sisters united by our Catholic faith. They assist the  priest and Deacon in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during the Communion Rite at Mass.

To serve as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, one must have a deep reverence for and devotion to the Holy Eucharist and:

a.) Be a practicing Catholic distinguished by their Christian life, faith and morals. A person living in harmony with the teachings of the Church and capable of receiving the Eucharist.

b.) Those aspiring to be an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist must be Catholics who have       been confirmed who are at least of high school age.

c.) If married, one’s marriage must be a valid Catholic marriage.

Ministers will be largely scheduled to serve during the weekend Mass time in which they normally worship.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist must undergo training provided by the parish.
